BY AIR

International & Domestic - Siem Reap International Airport is located 6km from the town centre and receives flights from international destinations such as Bangkok, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam, as well as domestic flights from Phnom Penh. For more information on flights click here. Taxis are available outside the terminal and are set at a fixed fee of $6

BY ROAD

From Battambang - National Routes 5 and 6 (approx 185km). The road between Sisophon and Battambang is in good condition, however the road between Sisophon and Siem Reap is in poor condition. A private taxi costs between $30-$35 and takes between 3-5 hours

From Phnom Penh - The road between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap is paved all the way and in good condition. There are several bus companies offering services departing between 6.30am - 12.30pm daily. Tickets cost approximately $4-$5

BY BOAT

From Battambang - Two operators run boats from Spean Thmei Bridge (opposite the hospital), departing daily at 7am, at a cost of $15 per person. The journey takes between 3-4 hours (but can take longer in the dry season due to low water) travelling up the the Sangher River before crossing the very picturesque Tonle Sap Lake. The boats do not meet international safety standards, however (for the brave) the best seat in the 'house' is definitely on the roof! The boat arrives at Siem Reap Ferry Dock, located 12km south of the town centre, at Chong Khneas. Taxis are always available to take you the 20 minute ride into town at a cost of $5-$6

From Phnom Penh - The service between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap no longer operates
